Strange rooms
People live in houses, and mostly us dogs live in the houses with our humans. I know that there are dogs living outside, but I don't know anyone who does. There are different types of houses, like the kind of house mum and I live in. That's a house with many apartments since other people live in the house too, but mum and I only goes in to our apartment. Then there are houses where people live but the houses has no apartments, and mums' parents live in a house like that. In that house it's only her parents living, and they have a garden that I can play in and run around on the lawn. There are also houses where nobody lives, and in those houses you can find all sorts of different things. It can be places where people work, or the kind of house like where the doggy food store is. One thing all houses have in common is that you can pee on them!

In all houses there are different rooms, and some of the rooms are very strange if you ask me. Take the house where mum and I live, here there is a room called "elevator", and I can tell you one thing: That is a very strange room! I've checked mums' parents' house several times, and guess what?! They don't have an elevator in their house!
So, this elevator mum and I have in our house works like this: First mum and I get out of our apartment, and mum locks the door, then we either take the stairs to get down to the door which leads out to the street, or we go over to this elevator. It seems that anyone living in this house can use the elevator, because it's never locked, so anyone can go in and out of there as they are pleased. The strange thing is that usually it's nobody in there when mum and I go there. Another strange thing is that sometimes mum says we have to wait for the elevator, even though the door is there! Now I know that mum doesn't see too well, because she wears glasses, and people who wears glasses don't have the sharpest eyes, so maybe that's why mum says we have to wait? Maybe she doesn't see the door to the elevator? Anyway, mum is either stubborn or blind, so we stand there and wait, and then there is a noise, and then mum tells me we can get in the elevator, and in we go through the door that has been there all along.
The elevator is actually a rather boring room, because there is nothing in there except some buttons I can't reach, but mum does, so she presses one of them. This is when it gets very strange&ldots; The sound you heard when mum stood waiting for the elevator comes back, mum and I stand in the elevator for a little while, and then mum says "Come on boy, lets go outside", and we go out through the door as if nothing has happened. But, something has happened, because even though we go out through the same door we came in, we're in a different place! That different place is always the same though, and that's where we get to the door that leads to the street, I just don't understand how it happens!? How can you go in through one door, stand still for a little while in a room and then get out of the door and end up in a new place? It's the same thing the other way around when we get back from a walk. Unless we take the stairs, we use the elevator where we stand still for a little while and when we get out of the door we're nearly in our apartment again! I really find that very strange.
I know that elevator rooms are sometimes in other houses as well, not only where mum and I live. There is one in the house where we work, but mum and I hardly ever use it. It's more fun though, because it has mirrors that reach all the way to the floor, so I can have a look at myself. Now that I'm a big boy I know it's myself I see in mirrors, and not some other dog looking exactly like me. But, I don't mind looking at myself since I think I'm pretty handsome!

Another strange room that we have in the apartment is called a "walk in closet", and I know you can find that kind of room in houses like the one mums' parents live in as well. The strange thing with that kind of room is that you're never in there, and the door to the walk in closet is almost always closed. As I said, mum has one of those rooms, and I just can't see the point of having one. Why have a room if you're not supposed to be in there? We use all the other rooms in the apartment, and I'm allowed everywhere else, but not in the walk in closet! If I was allowed I think I'd spend quite a lot of time in there, because the little I have seen of it has made me curious. There is plenty of stuff in there, and it all looks very interesting! If you wonder how I know is because sometimes mum opens the door to get something, or to put something in there, and really, it's full of stuff! Sometimes it's so much in there that I can't even get inside since there are things in the way. But, because the door to the walk in closet is closed most of the time except from when mum wants anything in there I've never been able to give it a closer inspection.
